Choose an appropriate Master Flash® with opening at least from 20% to 30% smaller than pipe diameter. If necessary trim opening to 20% smaller than the pipe diameter.
Slide Master Flash® down the pipe (a nonpetroleum base lubricant will ease installation).
Press Master Flash® down, bending it to conform to roof profile or roof irregularities. A blunt tool will help press the flashing into tight roof angles.
Apply sealant between the base and the roof.
Use fasteners to complete sealing. For installation, fastener spacing may not exceed 1.5” (38 mm).
Use pliers to pull the tab for the correct pipe size.
Finish the diameter by adjusting the flashing by hand..
Apply sealant on the bottom side of the metal base.
Slide the flashing down the pipe.
Cut shingles to fit to the top of the flashing allowing the bottom of the flashing metal base to set on top of tiles.
Fasten the metal base using nails and a hammer.
Install the tiles at the side of the flashing.
Finish the installation of tiles.
Apply a stainless steel band to assure tight fitting of the flashing against the pipe.
Select an appropriate Master Flash® Multi. If necesary trim opening to the pipe diameter.
Apply Master Flash® Multi by sliding it down the pipe or cut it on the side to use as Retrofit.
Wrap Master Flash® Multi around the pipe.
Press Master Flash® Multi down, bending it to conform to roof profile or roof irregularities. A blunt tool will help press the flashing into tight roof angles.
Apply sealant between the base, roof and at the top of the flange.
Use stainless steel clamp to close the Master Flash® Multi.
Tighten the stainless steel clamp.
Additional sealant may be applied between the flashing and the pipe.
Select an appropriate Master Flash® Retrofit. If necessary trim opening to the pipe diameter.
Wrap Master Flash® Retrofit around the pipe and install all snap rivets to seal the flange.
Press Master Flash® Retrofit down, bending it to conform to roof profile or roof irregularities. A blunt tool will help press the flashing into tight roof angles.
Make a hole in the flange to insert a cable tie.
Slide the cable tie through the hole.
Put the cable through the hole to assure tight fitting.
Additional sealant can be applied between the flashing and the pipe.
